{Married} Shaelyn + Steve’s Destination Wedding at Villa del Palmar in Cancun, Mexico – Part 2 | Destination Wedding, Rehearsal Dinner and Destination Engagement Photographer

When my friend Debbie, co-owner of my favorite (and the BEST) studio ever, Purenergy, told me her soon to be son-in-law is looking for a photographer to capture his proposal, I never could’ve imagined I’d be here today blogging their destination wedding at the Villa del Palmar in Cancun, Mexico. 

I truly felt like I’ve known Shaelyn and Steve for way longer than I have. I first met them back in February 2016 when Steve popped the question outside Kooma restaurant in West Chester, where they had their first date…where it all began. They brought it full circle – which I love! Steve and I planned very strategically how to get the right shot. He put so much time and effort into making sure everything went so perfectly. And it couldn’t have gone any better. At that point I had no idea that I would soon be meeting such a sweet, funny, and genuine person, Shaelyn. Together they have an incredible zest for life and its contagious! It’s no wonder they are loved by so many people. So, from the proposal came their engagement session at Valley Forge Park. Which leads us to their destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico. 

Shaelyn and Steve’s wedding was definitely one for the books! Aside from it being in the most gorgeous setting, everyone that attended really knew how to celebrate the way every bride and groom hopes for their guests. There was so much excitement, laughter and love in the air, it’s kind of difficult for me to put into words. The best part of my job is having the opportunity to be right in front of love. The most exciting day of a couple’s relationship. Witnessing pure emotion. And being able to capture it for brides and grooms on their wedding day, well, that’s a bonus. Shaelyn, Steve, their families and friends truly made us feel like we weren’t just photographers, but that we were family. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience so, thank you guys for everything! I hope you love your pictures!

{Rehearsal Dinner} Shaelyn + Steve’s Beach Fiesta at Villa del Palmar in Cancun, Mexico – Part 1 | Destination Wedding, Rehearsal Dinner and Destination Engagement Photographer

Hi! Sooo…last month we were at the gorgeous Villa Del Palmar in Cancun, Mexico shooting Shaelyn and Steve’s wedding weekend. It was glorious! Gorgeous weather, gorgeous couple, amazing family and friends. Seriously, not much more you can ask for. The night before their wedding they hosted a Cinco de Mayo fiesta right on the beach. Some lovely toasts, sick dance moves and the walking-laugh ;) We were there to capture it all!
