Have I ever mentioned how much I love Princeton? I love the college campus feel, the quaint downtown area, the history, the architecture. It really has it all! And when Carmen not only told me she and Jen would like to have their engagement session there, but how they wanted to do a first-date themed session, I was so excited! We started off at the Princeton Library to read through some great love stories. Then headed over to the Princeton Record Exchange since these two LOVE music and records. They browsed through many talented artists, discussing what they loved about each one and even reminisced about what certain artists meant to them and their past. Afterwards, we walked through Villanova University’s campus to take in the flawless weather, architectural beauty and stopped for a visit at their Art Gallery. And what perfect first date wouldn’t be complete without a vintage themed picnic with some cupcakes, books and scrabble. These two are just so in love with each other and this first date reenactment was such a breath of fresh air. I love having the opportunity to photograph something different and with Jen and Carmen’s engagement session, you get the feeling of butterflies in your tummy, love brewing and a depth that shines through in their personalities and location choices. It makes me that much more eager to shoot their upcoming October wedding at the Inn at Millrace Pond in Hope, NJ. Hope you enjoy some of my favorite photos from their session!
