Usually when I book a wedding, I get to meet with the bride and groom in person to get to know them and chat about their upcoming nuptials. Vivian and Leo’s situation was not your typical one. I first met Vivian on Skype and met her parents and brother in person. Vivian & Leo live in Israel and pretty much planned every detail (with the help of Vivian’s incredible parents) while being overseas until just a couple weeks before the big day. That is pretty much amazing, if you ask me. In my opinion I don’t think there are that many brides (and parents) that would be able to pull that off successfully. Well, so to say their wedding day had unfolded perfectly would be an understatement. First of all, the warmth, friendliness, and acceptance from them and their entire families was overwhelming – seriously, it felt like we knew them for years! I absolutely LOVE that!! So the day starts out with Viv getting into her gorgeous gown made by The Cotton Bride. Then we went straight into Viv and Leo’s first look (which was SUPER romantic), took some stunning portraits of the two of them, then family portraits, ceremony and reception. They incorporated so many unique traditions from both of their cultural backgrounds (i.e. a Mariachi band at cocktail hour, the dancing of the “hora”, an Argentinian wedding cake for the single ladies, a HUGE dessert table filled with candies/goodies from Mexico, Argentina and Israel, and even a serenade from the groom to the bride)…seriously, it was a wedding for the books! The uniquely mixed reception music, which was provided by Sound Choice DJ, really set the mood for a “dance till you drop” kind of night. Vivian & Leo, I am so happy for you both and incredibly honored to have documented your special day and hope you enjoy this little sneak peak of some of my favorite photos!
